There are dozens of different skills in each tree, and you will need multiple paths completely filled, plus battle optional side bosses to unlock uber-skills. Instead of talking demons into joining up with you, you have 5 characters you can develop using branching skill trees, not unlike Diablo2. Once they're afraid, your party can eat them with devouring attacks to gain more points used for leveling up and buying new attacks for your party- which get very expensive as they get more powerful. The DDS battles have the same press turn system, where you have to hit the enemies with their weaknesses to get extra turns in for your party- except you also need to bounce their own attacks back at them with the right shields so that they become afraid. If I have time before TF2 or DNF comes out I may start over in FF5 since my party is getting CREAMED in the second world by this Kuzar bitch and that damn shield dragon unless that's supposed to happen I can fight the "normal" bad guys pretty well, and actually made progress finding this moogle and I understood what he was trying to tell me but I made one step on a desert tile and even though I kept bringing my d00d sback to life I died :( I want to get all the shooters out of hte way before going back and finishing the real games, like DOOM3 :( Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X. I haven't played Silpheed in a few days I should record some action from all of these games just because I can. I was biting it on the first level repeatedly hopefully I get back into it. oh man how my (never impressive) skills had gone to waste. R-Type final was so enraging and yet I kept playing, I think it had like a heroin feedback going on with the vibrations or something. I finally beat R-Type Final which means maybe I can work on Einhaender now.
